My music is dedicated to the heart: Deepak Agrawal

Deepak hails from Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh and learnt classical and folk music there. He quit his education after 12th to pursue his passion for music and lyrics writing. Deepak came to Mumbai later in 2009 unaware of the future and Mumbai. He was not sure whether the city would welcome him or not. Soon, Deepak got his first break as a lyricist in 2013 with the film “Zindagi 50/50”, and the song was composed by Mr Vivek Kar & sung by Mr Bappi Lahiri. In 2016, Deepak made his debut as a music composer with “Khel To Ab Shuru Hoga” and since then he has composed music for films like “Ek Kahani Julie Ki” (2016), “Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai”(2017), “Raktdhar” (2017). When asked about his experience in the city Mumbai, Deepak takes a deep breath and says “ If you love this city, you get it back sooner or later.” So true. In 2017, Deepak got a call from the director of 'Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai' to compose its title track. Deepak penned down a beautiful inspirational song and composed it too. The widely appreciated song firmed his reputation as an acknowledged lyricist and music composer. The success helped him to bag some big projects down the line. In 2018, Deepak wrote the lyrics & composed the song “Baari Baari” for the movie “Jaane Kyun De Yaaron” along with the song “Sufi Salaam” from the movie Tishnagi. (All Photos: Instagram)
