After successfully slowing down the rate of coronavirus spread after a peak in early April, the Spanish government eased most lockdown restrictions and life went back to normal for most citizens. Three weeks since, Spain has now tripled its rate of infection from 8 to 27 cases per 1 lakh people. With 201 new clusters, Spanish health minister Salvador Illa said that clusters had appeared wherever lockdown measures had been relaxed. As Spain reinstates some restrictions on public gatherings, regional governments urge people to stay at home.
