Giant Panda's have now been removed from the endangered list

Wild Giant Panda’s have been taken off from the endangered list and are now listed as vulnerable. There are now 1,800 Giant Panda’s living in China’s wilderness.

China is trying their best to sustain and increase the number of Giant Panda’s, taking all precautions and measures to secure them, restoration and conservation projects are undergoing.

Along with the Giant Panda, the WWF has listed many other animals as vulnerable as well.

African Elephant : The largest animals walking the Earth, yet vulnerable the African Elephant has been stamped as vulnerable as the numbers have dropped to a mere 41,500.

Bigeye Tuna: The decreasing numbers of the Bigeye Tuna fish has lead them to be vulnerable

Black Spider Monkey: Due to the mass deforestation leading to habitat loss and being hunted for food by locals, the Black Spider Monkey is vulnerable.

Dugong: Their closest relative being the now extinct sea cow, the Dugong are vulnerable because of all the industrial activities that are affecting their habitat. They get entangled in fishnets thrown, the decreasing number of these medium marine mammals is concerning.

Forest Elephant: Threatened and endangered for bushmeat and ivory, the forest elephant population is reducing in numbers.

Giant Tortoise: The Giant Tortoise is vulnerable, what used to be an island filled with 25,000 tortoises is now reduced to a mere 15,000.

Great White Shark: Under protection and vulnerable is a top predator of the oceans, the Great White Shark. Illegal fishing, pollution and being caught in fishing nets are the main reasons that they are vulnerable.
