Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kazakh capital Astana to attend the two-day summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) - a consortium that focuses on security and trade. India and Pakistan would be formally inducted in the six-nation bloc that includes Russia, Tajikistan, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. PM Modi also exchanged pleasantries with his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif on the sidelines of the summit.
