As climate change continues to deteriorate the condition and amount of sea ice, Polar bears are being pushed closer to extinction. A study conducted by Polar bear international was able to calculate the limits of the endangered species’ survivability based on their energy requirements. The study suggests that even if the pace of climate change is moderately reduces, large populations will nevertheless disappear.
